A local track meet for the boys has turned into a chance to go to a state track meet for Tyler. Hershey track and field has events every year. My boys have tried to compete ever since they started having them here 3 years ago. Tyler has now qualified for the 800m race. I wish I'd video taped the race. In any event he place 2nd, though could have won. (he was leading until the last 30 m when a kid a foot shorter caught up and passed him at the finish line). He ran it in 2:26:99s. The next meet in June 30 at Herriman High School at 10am. We will leave our family reunion a little bit early and head out. I can't wait!!!
Cameron doing long jump 5'6.25"
Jeremy getting ready to run 100m finished last in his heat
Jeremy and Dillon running in 200m Jeremy 3rd, Dillon 2nd in heat
Jeremy long jump 6' 0.75"
Jeremy and Cameron did the best they could, which is all we asked for. They didn't place in the top eight and only the top two go to state. Dillon (cousin also did great, running against Jeremy) It will be fun to see where this takes us in the future.
