Just a week after our trip to Oregon, I volunteered at a Family Camp-- Families can come do fun things while either a mom or dad attends Woodbadge, the scout training. Chris had to work and the boys weren't too excited about it at first, but within a day or so they figured out it was AWESOME. I was with 10 year old boys. Cameron hung out with 11 year old boys, and Jeremy got to hang out with 12-13 year old boys and girls. We got to go to Tifie where Tyler has been working all summer and he helped 8 year old boys. Each group had a name and each person made little things called woggies to trade with whomever they wanted to. We attended and participated in daily flag ceremonies, and did just about everything there was to do at the camp. Shooting sports, COPE, horses, swim in the pool, threw hatchets, and traded woggies and made new friends. We camped in a site with 3 other families. My boys were so helpful with the little boys we had in our site. We have a family picture of all the boys in our little Family Odessey family.

Cameron came home with nearly half of his Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First Class scout requirements done. Since he hasn't attended a scout meeting since he turned 11, that isn't too bad.
Jeremy says he want to go back next year, Cameron isn't so sure.
It was a tiring week, but so much fun. We got a little wet due to afternoon thunderstorms, but nothing too bad.
