It seems we have had quite a bit of car work done this year. The truck (1998) went in for major repairs. ball joints u joints and other exciting stuff on the front end.
Now its the Pacifica's (2003) turn. It needed tires too. The brakes all of the sudden felt squishy right before Christmas. So we took it in early Monday Dec 29. Come to find out the entire brake system is shot. The mechanic said it looked like the wrong fluid wad put and now its the consistency of honey. This in turn blew all the hoses. Even worse dodge doesn't make a part we need to fix the brake system so it's been sitting there for the last three weeks while they try find the part in junk yards. If we didn't still owe money on it, it could stay there and die. Who knows what will happen now.
Best of all the Nissan (2004) passed the 200, 000 mile mark this week. The Pacifica is close and the truck is over 230,000.
Isn't owning vehicles such fun?
1/21/14: update Finally found a part for Pacifica. $1900 to fix and get two new tires.
2/3/14: finally got our car fixed and returned. Really closer to $2000 to fix it. BOO.
